The Videogame Trailer of the Week is BamtanArkham City’s new gameplay trailer. Check it out down and to the right on our homepage. Pretty cool, right? But there’s an awful lot to digest there, especially if you are not a dedicated Bat-fan like myself. Let me share with you my thoughts and speculation regarding the first glimpse of gameplay from one of the most anticipated games of 2011.
On March 11, 2011 Apple released the iPad 2 to the world. This unit is the first revision of the original iPad device that came out less than a year before the update. Just how good is the iPad 2? Read on to find out….
The answer to my question is…it’s…good. Only good, not great, not amazing. Before all the Apple fanboys get upset with me let me just explain why it’s just good.
At PAX East the public was treated to a world premier demo of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. For the rest of this article I’m going to just refer to this game as Reckoning as that is what the developers of the game are referring it as anyways. The demo that was shown at PAX is the same demo that the press got to experience at the GDC recently. It’s a pre-alpha version of the game that still could go through many changes, but the version that was shown is definitely on the right track.
PAX EAST 2011 has come and gone in the blink of an eye. It’s amazing how much there is to do and see in one weekend at a convention. With the presence of console industry leaders Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony as well as third parties like Capcom, Ubisoft and EA there was more than enough content to appeal to any and all gamers across the spectrum. I won’t fail to leave out PC gaming companies on both software and hardware fronts such as Valve and Nvidia respectively. Even if you prefer the classic style of gaming prior to the electronics, there was a healthy amount of tabletop, board and card gaming to be found.
Uncharted 3 is on the horizon and new tidbits of info on it are slowly being revealed as we approach its release later this year. Uncharted 2 was one of the most critically praised and successful games on the PS3 and the Uncharted series is still one of the most compelling reasons to own Sony’s system. As good as the Uncharted 2 formula was, how could it be improved in Uncharted 3? Lots of ways, actually….
